How will you make an impact?

This role will lead the demand planning process strategy and own the global demand SIOP process. She/he will be responsible to build demand planning capabilities, standardize and facilitate SIOP Demand Review meetings and ensure alignment amongst all partners including but not limited to sales, business, product management and demand & supply planning organization.

This role is responsible for providing oversight and management of the Global Supply Chain so as to execute the planning strategy within defined metrics & budgets.

What will you do?

  • Defines and implements process improvements in Demand Planning; accountable for ongoing improvement in forecast accuracy and bias, in partnership with commercial organization and internal/external customers; using order and shipment history, statistical forecasting, market intelligence, and industry trends to inform the projected demand.
  • Integrate backlog, bookings forecast, statistical forecasting, portfolio management, NPI and other product demand signals to create a consensus demand forecast.
  • Develop conclusions and make recommendations about forecast opportunities and risks to maximize business performance.

Sourcing & Supply Chain

  • Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for sourcing and production planning to support customer demand; lead the daily and weekly planning review calls with global operations and supply chain leaders to optimize speed, cost and quality
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control
  • Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business growth and sourcing requirements
  • Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Establish, implement, and manage system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
  • Continuously improve key end-to-end planning performance indicators such as customer on-time delivery
  • Communicate strategic and tactical decisions and fulfillment network performance updates to a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive-level sponsors
  • Assure conformance to US Customs regulations and support opportunities to reclaim duties, etc.

Forecast Metrics

  • Develop and maintain monthly forecast accuracy and forecast bias metrics.
  • Drive improvements to forecast accuracy and alignment by proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

Process Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to advance the demand management, demand planning and SIOP process capabilities
  • Maintains, enhances, or recommends improvements to technology to manage the demand forecasting process.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of program management experience in the supply chain and/or logistics domain
  • 3+ years of demand planning and/or Integrated Business planning
  • Experience in a consumer product and/or e-commerce environment is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English is required
  • Advanced analytical skills and business judgment
  • Basic technical skills with proficiency in use of SQL
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to develop insights for the executive team
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel with the ability to apply vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs and other key formulas to analyze data and solve problems
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to think critically and conceptualize future framework
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and data-driven organization
  • Position may require (limited) travel
