CROSS® DEBUTS NEW CONCEPT STORE IN THE NATICK COLLECTION

CROSS, the renowned American maker of fine writing instruments and accessories, pens a new volume in its 160-year history with the introduction of its new concept store in September. As the oldest manufacturer of writing instruments in the Western Hemisphere, and a pioneer of the ball-point pen technology, the iconic brand CROSS is distinguished by a heritage of excellence….as well as an inventive spirit that continues today with its new retail design.

From American presidents to legendary authors, from fashion designers to newly minted graduates, CROSS has long been in the hands of discerning customers around the world. But when CROSS opens its new lifestyle concept store in the Natick Collection mall in Massachusetts this month, it will present a unique voice in retail – a shop with beautifully designed accessories for where and how you work.

The 900 square foot store opens on September 7 in the much-heralded expansion of the Natick Collection. The Natick store incorporates signature elements that create a new prototype for the CROSS brand. A distinctive curved storefront, inspired by the flow of ink on paper, includes cove accent lighting that highlights the company’s recently redesigned logo. A Pen Wall with illuminated images reinforces the brand’s core products. Nearby surfaces invite comfortable, convenient customer testing.

The modern aesthetic is dotted with stitched and quilted leather and fabric panels, light and dark wood accents, and decorative pendant lights. Ottomans with trays advance the welcoming, residential feel of the store.

Architectural firm RGLA Solutions in Illinois, along with the CROSS design team, developed the prototype design, which will roll-out to additional retail destinations, including Las Vegas, in October.

Contemporary fixtures and alcoves with open glass shelving display the considerable assortment of new products that extend the brand’s outreach into accessories and gifts. In addition to writing instruments, the Natick store will present CROSS timepieces, cufflinks, eyewear, leather accessories, stationery items, desk sets, and business and computer tote bags.

In the past year, CROSS has developed more new products than ever before in its history, applying its mastery of industrial design with a fashion conscious design approach. The results are well-engineered products, from timepieces with precision Swiss watch movements to style savvy computer bags created with ideal proportions for toting tech treasures. All of the new CROSS products have been designed with an eye towards being both stylish and functional -- everyday essentials that feel at once current, luxurious, and accessible.
