Website Executive

Summary: As Cross grows its global presence we are looking for someone to join our team to support the day-to-day needs of our business, e-commerce as well as B2B. We currently have web sites in seven languages across North America, Europe and Asia. The main focus will be to ensure the sites are up and running and content is kept current based on new product launches, marketing activities and seasonal messaging. The incumbent will support the website and may be tasked to additional web support tasks and projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Web technologies, protocols, and tools.
  • Excellent working knowledge of HTML, Javascript & .Net.
  • Working knowledge of Web authoring, development and publishing tools.
  • Flexibility to manage workload based on projects/peak seasons.
  • Strong understanding of communications, marketing, and customer service principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • SQL basic knowledge.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the organization’s web portfolio.
  • Manage product catalogs, as well as setup new products.
  • Responsible for content management and updates to the sites.
  • Find, diagnose, and fix web site problems, including broken links typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
  • Field incoming problem tickets and help desk calls from end users to resolve technical issues.
  • Receive and respond to all e-mail messages for the Webmaster in a timely and courteous fashion.
  • Ability to create reports on site usage, key performance indicators and basic site analytics.
  • Working closely with our customer service group to research and resolve customer issues.
  • Perform QA testing.
  • Create, test and maintain all promotions.

Buyer/Planner

Summary: This position is responsible for planning and procuring purchased finished goods, components and packaging materials at the best price consistent with accepted standards of quality and service within the established timeframes in areas of new product development and current product offerings.
Qualifications:
  • A good understanding and conformance to US Custom Regulations.
  • Very good multi-tasking, problem solving, report writing and records maintenance skills.
  • Advanced computer skills such as using MS Excel, Access and SQL.

Continuous Improvement Manager

Summary:

The successful candidate in this position will identify and prioritize operational improvement opportunities in all operating and administrative functions across the company. They will also be responsible for developing our employee’s continuous improvement skills through leadership, training and coaching. While the role will ultimately be responsible for driving down costs, streamlining processes, and training employees; the candidate also needs to champion a continuous improvement culture; lead teams and promote change essential to business success.

Duties of this position require sound knowledge of end-to-end business processes within the organization. The role also requires superior knowledge of best industry practices to improve process efficiencies. The role requires knowledge of project management, implementation and delivery, along with incumbent experience of established CI methodologies and lean Six Sigma certification from a recognized source.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will also be responsible for:

  • Identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities.
  • Managing projects end-to-end, delivering or exceeding agreed upon results and Gaining stakeholder approval and commitment throughout the project life cycle.
  • Implementing sustainment strategy in partnership with process owner.
  • Facilitating and drive change across the organization. Utilize data driven, fact based analytics to deliver results. Lead by example, demonstrating ability to lead teams and act as a change agent.
  • Serving as a resource to the business, facilitating knowledge transfer and overseeing proper application of continuous improvement methodology and tools.
  • Maintaining an overview of all the CI Activities taking place across the company.
  • Maintaining copies of the action plans and data. As appropriate, attending the local improvement team meetings, meet with improvement team leaders and ensuring that all improvement activity is followed through to successful completion.
  • Ensuring that any roadblocks are highlighted, escalated and addressed.
  • Facilitating and managing the Communication of C.I. Strategy across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience leading and executing continuous improvement projects in a dedicated Lean Six Sigma position within a transactional environment.
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma training through certification with application of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods including DMAIC, DFSS, and Lean skill sets.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from recognized source.
  • Must have experience in how to successfully manage people through change. Must understand typical resistance to change and know how to overcome it.
  • Must have understanding of statistical tools and methods and be able to coach others in structured rigorous use of data.
  • Has prior experience in successfully leading and facilitating improvement.
  • Experience leading projects in supply chain would be an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office elements including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
  • Ability to process and synthesize data, analyze and explain reports.
  • Must possess solid business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work closely and productively with a wide-variety of personalities and professional disciplines.
  • Ability to independently organize, troubleshoot, problem solve and complete work in a quick and efficient manner.
