Summary:

The Manager of Total Rewards will provide both strategic and tactical human resources leadership and support that meets the needs of CROSS in the areas of rewards, recognition, compensation and benefits. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position will develop strategies and implement disciplined programs which directly support the achievement of business objectives.

This position will be responsible for the creation, strategies, program development, implementation, communications and monitoring of all reward and recognition programs (including executive compensation, base salary, sales incentives, short-term initiatives, market pricing, long-term incentives), benefits programs (including life, health, disability, retirement) and HRIS. The focus will be to continually develop strategies that align total compensation and benefits with business strategy, values, and mission.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to partnering with business leaders, managers and employees to enhance organizational effectiveness, which includes:

  • Providing coaching and guidance in the areas of compensation planning.
  • Consulting with managers on various matters related to organizational design and development that lead to improved effectiveness.
  • Coaching managers in various areas of performance management and assessment ensuring the right messages are getting to the right people at the right time to achieve maximum organizational effectiveness.
  • Providing advisory and investigative support on sensitive employee relations issues working with corporate and local legal counsel when necessary.
  • Managing and being accountable for HR projects on an ongoing basis ensuring managers and employees are informed of human resources policies, processes, practices and programs.
  • Using HR resources to streamline processes, provide analytical reporting for client groups, analyze trends and make recommendations for change where appropriate.

  • Expertise in broad-based compensation program design, development and administration including Base Pay Salary Structures, Market Analysis & Benchmarking, Job Analysis / Evaluation, Private Equity Stock Option Programs, Mergers & Acquisitions, Short-Term Incentive Programs and Performance Management.
  • In collaboration with the VP, Global Human Resources, reinforce a pay for performance philosophy, optimizing and effectively communicating throughout the organization.
  • Interact effectively with Corporate, Business Unit, and Human Resources to optimize the effectiveness of all compensation and benefit programs. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with Finance, Payroll and business leaders is required.
  • Monitor trends/best practices, both internally and externally and make recommendations towards implementation or improvement.
  • Regularly assess the internal equity and external competitiveness of the company’s total reward programs.
  • Prepare materials for the Compensation Committee.
  • Manage, directly or through team members, external consulting and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in experience.

Supervisor, Plant Engineering and Maintenance

Summary:

This position is responsible for the timely achievement of various maintenance services of the plant, office and grounds through hands on execution and direct supervision of department day-shift employees while coordinating materials and manpower. Duties include ensuring company standards maintaining inventory, dissemination of information to employees, preparation of reports and maintenance of records. The position is also responsible for ensuring adherence to all company approved programs and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative maintenance or emergency repairs to production and building equipment assigned to the facilities department. Tasks would include lubricating, replacing motors, belts, chains, bearings, shafts and air filters, and using the PMC system to gather and update information or records on equipment being serviced.

  • Maintaining established safety procedures and identifies potential hazards.
Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Be able to perform basic math calculations as applied to mechanics, carpentry and plumbing.
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Cable of lifting a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work from ladders or staging.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.

Continuous Improvement Manager

The successful candidate in this position will identify and prioritize operational improvement opportunities in all operating and administrative functions across the company. Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience leading and executing continuous improvement projects in a dedicated Lean Six Sigma position within a transactional environment.
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma training through certification with application of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods including DMAIC, DFSS, and Lean skill sets.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from recognized source.
  • Must have experience in how to successfully manage people through change. Must understand typical resistance to change and know how to overcome it.
  • Must have understanding of statistical tools and methods and be able to coach others in structured rigorous use of data.
  • Has prior experience in successfully leading and facilitating improvement.
  • Experience leading projects in supply chain would be an advantage.

Retail Sales Manager-Domestic Carriage Trade

Based in our global headquarters in Lincoln, RI, the incumbent is responsible for increasing distribution, revenue, and profitability of the Cross portfolio of products, and implementing the brand’s strategy and image in the territory. Corporate Paralegal

Summary:

This position involves working closely with the General Counsel on responsibilities relating to contracts database maintenance, global corporate governance, including assisting with preparation of material for board of director meetings and maintenance of minute books for the Company and its subsidiaries; administration of intellectual property (“IP”) portfolios.   • Draft board and shareholder resolutions for parent company and its affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Assist in the preparation of board meeting materials.
  • Assist in preparation of annual governmental filings for foreign subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and file UCC filings for parent company and its affiliates as necessary.
  • Administer and manage trademark and patent portfolios in consultation with outside IP counsel and GC.
  • Conduct preliminary trademark searches to determine availability of potential rights.
  • Compose and generate various formal IP correspondence and documentation and coordinate necessary filings in conjunction with outside IP counsel and GC.
  • Set up and maintain accurate trademark and patent files; maintain IP data spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field or the equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience.
  • Previous corporate law department experience or large law firm experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience preferably in a consumer goods organization.
  • Experience drafting and analyzing contracts.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple projects with various deadlines.
  • Ability to distill the most critical information from situations and apply the appropriate legal lens for developing solutions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with corporate executives, department heads, customers and business clients at all levels.

Customer and Sales Support Service Representative – Special Markets

Summary:

This position serves as the corporate focal point of both domestic special market accounts and sales representatives relating to their purchase orders and/or related business issues. Incumbent directly responsible for handling specific customer issues or may act as a facilitator between the customer, credit, Cross China, third party logistics, shipping distribution, sales administration, product control, QC and sales regionals. The role also be responsible for providing assistance in meeting business sales goals and supporting the inside sales team. Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or higher.
  • 3-5 years experience in Customer Support Services preferably in a retail environment.
  • Understanding of customer order fulfillment process and our order entry system.
  • A high level of detail, design orientation and focus is required due to uniqueness of customer artwork decoration and special order requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential to courteously and tactfully handle customer issues, speaking with our manufacturing floor in China, or freight carrier.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to establish priorities, research and resolve problems, follow through timely on customer inquiries, and function effectively in fast-paced work environment within required time restraints.
  • Proficiency in MS Programs.

Network Administrator

Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring the CROSS network. This position provides top level network support for end-user requests. Major job responsibilities include defining and implementing standard best practices for Windows server configurations, email systems, network security, remote network access, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
